創作自述 /簡福
我認為自然界在物競天擇的情況下，根本沒有所謂的勝利者。無論是神仙、帝王、平民或蟲魚鳥獸都將在「競爭」之後，面對先後來臨的死亡結局。因此，我利用一般人熟悉的死亡形式（如：佛像、金字塔、十字架、棺木、遺照、物體的殘骸...等等），希望藉由這些圖像語言來反映死亡的本相，共同促使大家重新去思考生命的意義。
It's my belief that there is no one in the world of nature who can call himself a winner since all creatures are governed by the natural law 'survival for the fittest.'In spite of who we are, it dosen't matter if we are upernatural beings, emperors and kings, common people, insects, fish, birds end animals, sooner or later, we have to face the end of our lives-death after'competition.'In believing this, I borrow forms of death most people are familiar with, such as Buddhist idols, pyramid, the cross, coffin, photos of the dead, remains of objects and so on, hoping to reflect the ture nature of death by employment of these pictorial languages, as well as to actuate a rethinking to the meaning of life.

1957 出生於台灣省南投縣
1987 國立藝術專科美術科畢業
1988 個展於台北市大家藝術中心
1989 參展西班牙全國藝術懸院優秀雙年展於嘉娜利現代美術館（Exposicion Bienal de Artes Plasticas, Canarias）
1990 畢業於西班牙馬德里大學藝術學院，獲碩士學位
個展於西班牙馬德里市立多雷托文化中心 及台北市美國文化中心
1991 個展於台中省立美術館、台北市2號公寓
1991-2參展〝2號公寓〞〝本土性〞臺北、臺南、高雄展出
1992 個展「死亡系列」於臺北市立美術館、台中市雅特視覺藝術中心
1993 個展「名畫與我」於台北市2號公寓
1994 獲第三屆雄獅美術創作大獎獲臺北現代美術雙年展大獎、
1996 個展於台中省立美術館
