本作品以「華爾滋」舞步的旋轉概念與動態韻律為基礎構想。從作品軸心展開的不規則橢圓弧，透過角度漸變的造形手法轉譯來自樂 曲的靈感。《城市•華爾滋》作品中冉冉上升的漸層與律動好像舞步一般曼妙且優雅，期待能呼應「舞動的人文、視覺的饗宴、記憶的場域、呼吸的土地、川流的地景」的設置區空間的特質。
This work is based on the dance steps and rhythm of the waltz. The irregular elliptical arcs emanating from the center change shape as their angles shift incrementally,as a translation of musical inspiration. In Urban Waltz, the gradually rising layers and rhythm are graceful and elegant like the steps of a dance. Its aim is to echo the special qualities of the installation space: its human culture in dance-like motion, its visual feast, its field of memories, the breathing land and landscape of flowing rivers.
