作品由展現地景空間的流動性為發想，再現推進文明、穿梭空間的TBM全斷面鑽掘機挖掘隧道的真實比例，讓用路人到服務區休息時，能在作品空間中，感受隧道工程給人的震撼與美感，體驗迥異於隔著車窗觀看的視覺經驗。流動的光點猶如行車中的燈光，亦如TBM削刀與岩壁畫出的刻痕，在保有其原始精神與實際尺度下，透過藝術創造方式，再塑地景形象。

Inspiration of this work comes from moving landscapes, and the scene of civilization-driving and space-crossing tunnel boring machine (TBM) excavating through the tunnel in real scale is recreated. This allows passengers to feel a sense of awe and aesthetics emitting from tunneling construction in this space when they’re in the resting zone. This experience is different from seeing things through a car window, which separates you and the scene. The Illuminating Flow is like the lights of moving cars, or the trace left by TBM on the rocks. By keeping its original spirits and actual scale, the landscape is reshaped in the form of art.
